Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional minute.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, mixing well to coat the pasta in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
5. Season with salt to taste and remove from heat.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
