Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
Description: A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of red pepper flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sliced garlic. Cook until the garlic is lightly golden, about 2-3 minutes, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and stir for 30 seconds to release the flavor.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
5. Season with salt to taste, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot, with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
