A classic Italian dish that's simple yet delicious, made with garlic, olive oil, and spaghetti.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until it turns golden, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
5. Drain the spaghetti, reserving a cup of the pasta water.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed to help combine.
7. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley.
8. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan if desired.
