Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
4. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil.
6. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
7. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese, if desired.
8. Serve immediately.
