Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. 2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and cook until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for another minute.
5. Once the spaghetti is done, reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil, tossing to coat. If needed, add some reserved pasta water to help the sauce adhere.
7. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley.
8. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
