Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A classic Italian pasta dish made with simple ingredients, perfect for a quick meal. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and cook until it turns golden, about 2 minutes.
3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix well.
6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
