Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until it turns golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic and oil. Toss to combine.
6. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
7. Stir in the red chili flakes and season with salt to taste.
8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
