Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Add the red pepper flakes and stir for about 30 seconds.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve a cup of the pasta water and then drain the pasta.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic and oil, tossing to combine.
7. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
8. Season with salt and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
