Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
4. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
5. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
