A classic Italian pasta dish that is simple yet delicious, made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.

Recipe:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for an additional minute.
4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix in chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
