A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Serving size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, along with a splash of the reserved pasta water. Stir well to combine.
5. Season with salt to taste and continue to toss for another minute until everything is heated through.
6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Spaghetti Aglio e Olio!
