Ingredients:

- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is golden but not burnt, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time if the pasta seems dry.
4. Season with salt to taste and mix well.
5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
