A classic Italian pasta dish with garlic and olive oil.

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, optional
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, cooking until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
4. Drain the spaghetti, reserving a cup of pasta water.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil, tossing to coat. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water.
6. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
7. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
