Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, optional
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet with the garlic oil, adding reserved pasta water as needed to help coat the spaghetti.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix well.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
