Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A quick and simple Italian dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Perfect for a weeknight dinner. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Recipe:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is golden brown, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine. If the pasta seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
4. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
5. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
