Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. 2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the pan and sauté until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic oil. Toss to coat the pasta in the oil, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
7. Season with salt to taste.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
