Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red chili flakes to the pan and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan and toss to coat with the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if using.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Spaghetti Aglio e Olio!
