Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple and classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, optional
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes, until the garlic is golden but not burnt.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
4. Season with salt to taste.
5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
