A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic slices and sauté until they are golden brown, being careful not to burn them.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and sauté for another minute.
4. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet, adding a little reserved pasta water to help the sauce adhere. Mix well.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
