Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red chili flakes and sauté for another 30 seconds.
4. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet, adding a bit of reserved pasta water to help create a sauce. Stir well to coat the spaghetti with the oil and garlic.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve hot, with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
