Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe

A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of chili.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings

Ingredients:

- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it turns golden, about 1-2 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
