Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cooked spaghetti to the skillet. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until the pasta is coated to your liking.
4. Season with salt to taste and toss in chopped parsley for freshness.
5. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
