Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple and classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red chili flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve hot, with grated Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
