Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes and sauté until the garlic is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
4. Season with salt to taste and mix well.
5. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
