Recipe:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil water in a large pot, add salt, and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve a cup of pasta water.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and cook until it turns golden, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, adding a splash of the reserved pasta water to create a sauce.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix well until the spaghetti is evenly coated.
6. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley and serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
