Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the garlic oil. Mix well to coat the pasta, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
5. Season with salt to taste. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
6. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
