A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes.

Ingredients:

- 400g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic and oil. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
6. Season with salt to taste and toss in chopped parsley.
7. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
