A quick and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Perfect for a weeknight dinner! Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red chili flakes to the skillet and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss well to combine.
6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy your meal!
