A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet along with a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss to combine and coat the spaghetti in the garlic oil.
5. Season with salt to taste. If the pasta seems dry, add more reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
6. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Spaghetti Aglio e Olio!
