Ingredients:
- Spaghetti - 200 grams
- Olive oil - 4 tablespoons
- Garlic - 4 cloves, thinly sliced
- Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese - for serving (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until the garlic is golden brown (about 2 minutes).
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil.
4. If the pasta seems dry, gradually add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
5. Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt to taste.
6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
