A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, adding a bit of the reserved pasta water to create a light sauce. Mix well to coat the spaghetti.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
