A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.

Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, according to package instructions.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until golden, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
5. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water and drain the spaghetti.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic oil.
7. If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to help combine.
8. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
9. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
