Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A classic Italian pasta dish, Spaghetti Aglio e Olio is simple yet full of flavor, featuring garlic and olive oil. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté until the garlic is golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water.
4. Season with salt to taste and toss again.
5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if using.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
