A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Perfect for a quick meal! Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine with the garlic and oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss again.
6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
