A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt, to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red chili flakes, and sauté until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss to coat the pasta in the oil. If it's too dry, add a little reserved pasta water.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot, with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
