Ingredients:
- 700 g ground beef
- 1½ dl breadcrumbs
- 2 dl water
- 2 eggs
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp thyme
- Butter for frying
- 3-4 onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp butter for sautéing
- 2.5 dl cream
- A splash of water
Instructions:
1. Prepare the meat mixture: In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs and water, let it soak for a moment. Add eggs, minced garlic, and spices; mix well. Incorporate the ground beef and knead until combined.
2. Shape the mixture into 14 small patties, about 2 cm thick. Heat a cast iron skillet and add butter. Fry the patties in batches for about 3 minutes on each side.
3. Peel and slice the onions into thin rings. In a separate pan, sauté the onions in butter until they are soft and golden, being careful not to burn them.
4. Once the patties are cooked, add a splash of water (about 1 dl) and the cream to the skillet. Stir, then add the patties and the sautéed onions. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt if needed.
