Juicy and flavorful beef patties made with ground beef and tomato paste, served with a creamy sauce and sautéed onions. Preparation time: about 1 hour. Serving size: 4-6.

Ingredients

- Patties:
- 400 g ground beef
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 dl breadcrumbs
- 1 dl heavy cream
- 1 can (70 g) tomato paste
- 1 egg
- 1 ½ - 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- For frying: butter-oil mixture
- Sauce:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3 dl beef broth
- 1 ½ dl heavy cream
- 1 - 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Allspice
- Additional:
- 2 onions
- 2 tbsp dark balsamic vinegar
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of sugar

Instructions

1. In a bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and cream and let it soak for about 15 minutes.
2. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Sauté the onions in a pan with fat until translucent.
3. Add salt and black pepper to the soaked breadcrumbs. Stir in the tomato paste and egg. Add the sautéed onions and ground beef, and mix until well combined.
4. Shape the mixture into patties with wet hands and fry them in the butter-oil mixture on both sides until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the patties from the pan and set aside.
5. In the same pan, melt butter for the sauce. Add flour and lightly brown it. Gradually add the beef broth and heavy cream. Season with Worcestershire sauce and allspice.
6. Return the patties to the pan with the sauce and simmer for about 15 minutes.
7. Peel and slice the additional onions, and sauté them in a pan until soft. Season with balsamic vinegar, salt, and sugar.
8. Serve the sautéed onions over the beef patties and enjoy.
