This easy sheet bread is a perfect addition to any meal. It's quick to prepare and results in a delicious and nutritious bread. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 12 slices
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups rolled oats - 2 cups skim milk
- 4 ½ cups whole wheat flour
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- ⅓ cup liquid honey or syrup
- ½ packet fresh yeast
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk until it is lukewarm in a microwave or saucepan. 2. Pour the warm milk into a bowl and crumble the yeast into it.
3. Add honey, canola oil, and salt to the mixture.
4. Measure and add flour and rolled oats to the liquid ingredients.
5. Stir the mixture until it is smooth and well combined.
6. Spread the dough evenly onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Allow the dough to rise under a cloth for about 30 minutes.
8. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is beautifully golden brown.
9. Let cool before slicing.
