Delicious and crispy, French fries make an excellent side dish or snack. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 4 medium potatoes
- 2 tablespoons oil (e.g., olive oil)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- Fresh herbs (e.g., rosemary or thyme, optional)
Instructions:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into long strips.
2. Rinse the potato strips in cold water and dry them thoroughly with paper towels.
3. Place the potato strips in a bowl and add the oil, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
4. Spread the potato strips evenly on a baking sheet.
5. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy, turning the potatoes once during baking.
6. Remove from the oven and add fresh herbs if desired. Serve immediately.
