A delightful and creamy tomato sauce with feta cheese and fresh herbs. Perfect for pasta or as a topping for bread. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 400 g canned Mutti tomatoes (or other meaty tomatoes)- 150 g feta cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (basil or parsley) for garnish
Instructions:
1. Rinse and dice the tomatoes.2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and add the crushed garlic. Sauté for a moment until the garlic is soft.
3. Add the diced tomatoes and honey to the pan. Cook for 10-15 minutes until the tomatoes are soft and the sauce has thickened slightly.
4. Crumble the feta cheese into the sauce and add oregano. Mix well.
5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
6. Serve the sauce warm, garnished with fresh herbs, over pasta or on bread.
