Serving Size: 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 4 egg whites
- 250 g sugar
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 300 g fresh berries (e.g., strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 200 ml heavy cream
- Powdered sugar for decoration
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 100°C (212°F).
2. Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the sugar while continuing to whip until the mixture is glossy and firm.
3. Gently fold in the cornstarch and vanilla sugar until well combined.
4. Pipe the meringue mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, forming small cups.
5. Bake in the oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the meringues are dry and easily peel off the parchment paper.
6. Allow the meringue cups to cool completely.
7. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
8. Fill the cooled meringue cups with whipped cream and top with fresh berries.
9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
