A delicious creamy chicken pasta that's quick and easy to prepare for a weeknight dinner. Preparation time is about 30 minutes and serves four.Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 300 g chicken fillets
- 200 ml cooking cream
- 100 ml chicken broth
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh basil (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside.
2. Cut the chicken fillets into strips. Finely chop the onion and garlic.
3. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the chicken strips and cook until they are fully cooked and golden brown.
4. Add the onion and garlic to the pan. Sauté until the onions are soft.
5. Pour the cooking cream and chicken broth into the pan. Let it simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
6. Stir the cooked pasta into the sauce and add the Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
7. Serve with fresh basil if desired.
