Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the pan and sauté until it becomes golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for another minute.
5. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic oil and toss well to combine. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.
7. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley.
8. Serve hot, with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
