Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or spaghetti)
- 400 g chicken breast fillets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 200 ml cream
- 100 g Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve a bit of the cooking water.
2. Cut the chicken breast fillets into strips. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the chicken strips. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the chopped onion and crushed garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is soft.
4. Pour the cream into the skillet and mix well. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until the cheese has melted. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and mix all the ingredients together. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a bit of the reserved cooking water.
6. Serve the pasta garnished with fresh basil.
