A simple and classic Italian pasta dish with garlic and olive oil.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water gradually until desired consistency is reached.
4. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
5. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
