Ingredients:

- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Stir in red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
5. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine. If the pasta seems dry, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
7. Season with salt to taste and toss in chopped parsley.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with Parmesan cheese if desired.
