Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 kg fresh mussels - 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 100 ml white wine
- 100 ml cream
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Rinse the mussels thoroughly under running water and discard any that are open or broken. 2. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion, sautéing until soft.
3. Add the mussels to the pot and pour in the white wine. Cover the pot with a lid and let the mussels steam for about 5 minutes, or until they open.
4. Stir in the cream and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper, mixing well.
5. Allow the sauce to simmer for a few more minutes. Serve the mussels hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
