Ingredients:

- 1 kg potatoes (e.g., starchy potatoes)
- 1 liter water
- 1 tablespoon salt (for boiling water)
- 100-200 ml oil (for frying)
- Salt (for seasoning)

Instructions:

1. Peel and rinse the potatoes. Cut them into long, evenly sized sticks.
2. Boil the potato sticks in salted water for about 5-7 minutes until they are slightly softened but not fully cooked.
3. Drain the potatoes and let them cool for a moment.
4. Heat the oil in a large frying pan or pot over medium heat.
5. Fry the potato sticks in the oil until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
6. Place the fried fries on a paper towel and immediately season with salt.
7. Serve warm.
