Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg pork shoulder
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 dl water
- 4-6 hamburger buns or tortillas (for serving)
- Fresh vegetables (e.g., cabbage, tomato, avocado)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
2. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the pork shoulder.
3. Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker or smoker, adding the apple cider vinegar, BBQ sauce, and water.
4. Cook for 8 hours at 110-120 °C (225-250 °F) until the meat is tender and easily shredded.
5. Remove the meat from the cooker, let it rest for a few minutes, then shred it using forks.
6. Serve the pulled pork in hamburger buns or tortillas with fresh vegetables.
