This delicious and tender beef stew is slowly cooked in the oven, making it a perfect meal for special occasions or peaceful weekends. Preparation Time: Over 60 min (6-10 hours in the oven)
Serving Size: 4-6 people
Ingredients:
- 1 kg beef (e.g., chuck or brisket) - 2 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp dried rosemary
- 1 tbsp dried thyme
- 4-5 large onions, quartered
- 4-6 whole garlic cloves
- 2-3 dl water
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, rosemary, and thyme. 2. Rub the spice mixture thoroughly over the surface of the beef.
3. Place the seasoned beef in a covered oven dish or wrap it tightly with foil.
4. Pour water into the bottom of the dish.
5. Arrange the quartered onions and whole garlic cloves around the beef.
6. Cover the dish with a lid or foil.
7. Allow the dish to cook in a preheated oven at 110°C (230°F) for 6-10 hours, or overnight, until the beef is tender.
